1. Information We Collect
We collect the following information when you use our app:
- Device information (model, OS version, device identifier)
- Usage data (screens viewed, features used, session duration)
- Crash reports and performance data
- Purchase and subscription status, and AI credit balance (via Google Play / Apple App Store and RevenueCat)
- A push notification token (Firebase Cloud Messaging), so we can send you notifications
- If you contact us through Share Feedback or Contact Support, the message you write and the email address you provide
Your recorded videos stay on your device. We do not upload or store your recordings. Scripts you write for normal teleprompter use also stay on your device and are not sent anywhere — except when you use the AI Thumbnail feature, described in Section 3 below.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected data to:
- Improve app performance and fix bugs
- Understand how users interact with the app
- Process and verify subscription and AI credit purchases
- Deliver push notifications and respond to customer support requests
3. AI Thumbnail Generation
Teleprompter includes an optional AI Thumbnail feature. When you use it, the following data is sent from your device to our server and then to our AI provider, OpenAI, solely to generate your thumbnail:
- The text of the script you choose to generate a thumbnail for
- A single video frame or reference image you select, if any
- Your chosen style and aspect ratio settings
This data is used only to produce the requested thumbnail image and is not used to train OpenAI's models under their API terms. We do not use the AI Thumbnail feature to collect your scripts for any other purpose, and this data is not linked to your identity beyond what is needed to return the result to your device and deduct an AI credit.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services, each of which may collect or process data under its own privacy policy:
- Google Firebase — analytics, crash reporting, push notifications (Cloud Messaging), and secure storage of your subscription and AI credit status
- Google AdMob — advertising shown to free users
- RevenueCat — subscription and purchase management
- OpenAI — generates AI thumbnails from the script text and image described in Section 3
- Apple App Store / Google Play — payment processing
This website (saturncube.com/teleprompter) also uses Google Analytics to understand site traffic. This is separate from the analytics used inside the mobile app.
5. Subscriptions and AI Credits
Teleprompter Premium subscriptions and AI credit packs are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not store your payment information. Subscription and credit balance status is verified and synced through RevenueCat and Firebase.
You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime through your App Store or Google Play account settings.
6. Data Retention
We retain analytics data for up to 24 months. Script text and images submitted for AI thumbnail generation are processed to produce your result and are not retained by us beyond what is needed for that request and standard operational logging. You can request deletion of your data by contacting us.
7. Children's Privacy
Our app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Request deletion of your data
- Opt out of analytics collection (via device settings)
